If you're wondering how to get more mileage from ChatGPT, you might want to check out the platform's premium service. OpenAI has been testing new features that will be available to ChatGPT Plus users, and some of them look interesting.

According to the source, the latest version of ChatGPT is offering web browsing support and 70 third-party plugins. Currently, ChatGPT Plus users are the only ones who will have open beta access to these features. Moreover, there will be a new "Beta features" panel in the settings menu. This panel has also includes the Code intepreter feature, which lets ChatGPT build and run Python coding.

There's also a feature that helps you build Python-based coding

So, what does the web browsing feature do? Well, rather than doing regular web searches, you can prompt ChatGPT to do it for you. The advantage of doing so is that you can have a summary of relevant results, instead of just a list of links with brief descriptions. In the example given, ChatGPT gave a summary on top AI news for the day and what the news were discussing. Citation links were also provided, so users can quickly reference the news being summarised.

The general web browsing and third-party integration is a great step forward, as it allows the platform to do more. You could even get it to give a list of suitable smartphones according to different budgets. Of course, we'll have to wait and see how well these features perform.

Would this be more useful than a regular web search?

As a reminder, you'll need ChatGPT Plus to access these features, which means paying for a USD20/month (~RM89/month) subscription. But is it worth the money? Let us know what you think about the topic in the comments below, and stay tuned to TechNave for more updates on this.
