OpenAI today unexpectedly introduced another product under its umbrella, a web browser. OpenAI calls this web browser ChatGPT Atlas, and as many expected, it comes built with ChatGPT. So, what should you know about it?

It is only available for macOS right now

For your information, ChatGPT Atlas is currently only available for macOS and is expected to be available for Windows, Android, and iOS in the near future. ChatGPT Atlas offers a main interface focused on chatbots, allowing you to use them to ask questions or to go to websites.

Additionally, you can use them as search support, and they will display search results related to keywords in the form of AI summaries, as usual in ChatGPT, or in the form of link display like regular search results.

All open tabs also include an “Ask ChatGPT” button, which opens a special sidebar for users to ask any questions about the opened webpage. Not only that, you can also activate the ChatGPT Agent and ask the AI agent to do several things on the open tab page.

OpenAI emphasises that ChatGPT Atlas can only access things in a tab and cannot access files and documents outside of that tab. ChatGPT AAtlas's web browser also comes with "Memory" support, allowing it to remember and further optimise browsing when moving forward.

It works like a regular web browser

Like regular web browsers, ChatGPT Atlas also comes with “Incognito” support. Currently, ChatGPT Atlas is only offered to macOS users and is expected to be expanded to other users soon.

If you are interested, you can download ChatGPT Atlas today via its official website. Users will need to log in to the web browser before they can use it.
