OpenAI today announced a new feature called Instant Checkout. So, what should you know about it?

For your information, it offers the ability to search directly through ChatGPT and then make a purchase without having to leave the chatbot service. The feature is currently available to users in the United States.
To this end, OpenAI is using a technology called the Agentic Commerce Protocol, which it developed with payment service provider Stripe. Today, it supports several products from Etsy, and moving forward, Shopify products will also be integrated into the platform via Instant Checkout.
Today, many people are ready to use ChatGPT to get information or recommendations related to a product. With this integration, users can search and buy directly using it.
Furthermore, OpenAI says that products will be listed as usual, and the Instant Checkout integration on products will not affect any order of search results.
