We are living in a very interesting world now. The launch of ChatGPT felt like it just happened yesterday. Today, OpenAI announced that its ChatGPT voice feature will be available for everyone. That said, what should you know about it?

For your information, this feature was launched alongside the image recognition feature last September. Previously, these features were available for users who paid for the subscription plans on the AI-powered chatbot. That’s a very handy change.

To access the voice conversation feature, you can simply tap the "headphone" icon beside the chatbox in the app. You can do this for new and existing conversations. After that, the app will then start detecting a user's voice and respond via text-to-speech.

In addition, your voice conversation with the ChatGPT will be recorded as text in the chat as if it were a regular conversation. You can also use this feature while the app is running in the background. Interestingly, there is also a Malay language option for the feature.

While the speech settings menu does have the option to select "Malay" as the main language, speech detection in the language does not appear to be as accurate. So, you will have to be very thorough and careful with it.
