At the end of 2020, Apple has brought the final product of the year to the market and it's the AirPods Max. The tech giant's latest over-ear headphones sport a price tag that is far from being budget-friendly with a whopping RM2,399. Now, it looks like Apple will be going to make a cheaper version of the AirPods Max to cater to a larger audience.
According to a tipster, the cheaper pair of headphones is currently in the works. It is claimed that it will come with the same sound quality as the AirPods Max but with a lesser build quality. The headphones are said to made using plastic rather than aluminum and stainless steel. Therefore, it will be lighter compared to the AirPods Max that is currently among the heaviest headphones in the market.
Furthermore, the price of the cheaper AirPods Max could cost 349 USD (~RM1,399). If it's true, the pair is a lot cheaper than the current model after compromising with the materials.
