Cinemas will be allowed to operate from 1 July 2020 onwards with no more than 250 people per theatre

The government has recently announced that cinemas in Malaysia will be allowed to operate starting from 1 July 2020. It is best to note that there will be a limit of up to 250 people, depending on the size of the movie theatre.

On another note, GSC, MBO, and TGV has officially announced on their Facebook page that they will be resuming operations very soon. However, there is no information on the exact dates for now nor are the necessary requirement to enter the cinemas, but GSC have already listed a few movies that are ready for screening. According to their Twitter post, anticipated movies such as Christopher Nolan's Tenet, Disney's Mulan, and Peninsula (sequel to Train To Busan) are confirmed for July. The exact date is yet to be unveiled so do check your local listings.
