If you talk about recent hot topics, one of them would have to be Clubhouse. The voice-chat app's popularity has exploded since been recommended by Elon Musk. Now it has to find ways to keep its millions of new users and that includes new features.
In its town hall update earlier today, the company announced an accelerator program for creators called Creator First. This is likely an experimental idea though, considering that Clubhouse will only be accepting 20 creators before 31 March 2021. However, Clubhouse has promised to help these creators build their audiences and even monetise.
product updates:
— Clubhouse (@joinClubhouse) March 14, 2021
Link sharing- You can now share a link to your profile or club
Language filtering- we will learn what language rooms you tend to join and filter the others
Invite via phone #- don’t have them in your contacts? You can invite them by typing in their phone #
Besides that, Clubhouse also mentioned a few privacy changes to the app. It now no longer requires access to your phone contacts, and you can invite someone by inserting their phone number instead. Also, you can now set language filters for chat rooms, as well as share links of your profile or club with other users.
Just like how Zoom became big last year, you can expect Clubhouse to scramble to create new features to keep users around. On that topic, what's a feature you would like to see in Clubhouse? Share your ideas in the comment section below! Also, stay tuned to TechNave for more news like this.
