Comparison: iPhone 13 series pre-order plans by Celcom, Digi, Maxis and U Mobile
It's that time of the year again for Apple, the iPhone 13 series pre-order has begun now starting today (1 October). For a short period of time, the pre-order campaign will end on 7 October because the official launch will begin the day after. So are you going to miss out? Well, that depends on what Celcom, Digi, Maxis and U Mobile are offering so check them out below!
Celcom - A bunch of freebies from iPhone 13 Pro Max
Starting with Celcom, the company is going out with a bang because there are a few pre-order goodies. From the website, it says if you pre-order the iPhone 13 Pro Max, you can get either an Apple Watch Series 6 or AirPods Pro, free Apple TV+ access for 3 months, free IQIYI access for 6 months, a 50% off from Celcom Phone Care, 0% Instalment Plan and RM100 cashback if you use an HSBC card, and even stand a chance to win a Thermomix TM6!
That's not all, it seems that you can have either the Apple Watch Series 6 or AirPods Pro for the rest of the iPhone 13 models too. Of course, you just need to top up a bit depending on what you want. For example:
- iPhone 13 (128GB) is RM129/month with Celcom MEGA 188
- iPhone 13 (128GB) is RM164/month with Celcom MEGA 188, bundled with AirPods Pro
- iPhone 13 (128GB) is RM185/month with Celcom MEGA 188, bundled with Apple Watch Series 6
In addition, the Celcom website also mentioned a special deal online which you can enjoy up to RM250 rebate and a free dash4ME express delivery. You may also trade in your iPhone 12 series model and get up to 50% + RM200 rebate for a new iPhone 13 series model. If you want to learn more, you can visit Celcom's official pre-order page here.
Digi - Just the same PhoneFreedom 365 plan
Next, Digi is still offering the same ol' Digi PhoneFreedom 365 plan. To refresh your memory, it features a 0% interest rate, RM0* upfront payment and an add-on 365 Phone Protection. But other than that, it doesn't have any special pre-order freebies.
If you are eyeing the iPhone 13 Pro Max (128GB), you can go for the Digi Postpaid 120 or 150 for RM187/month or RM184/month respectively. By combining the device instalment and postpaid fee, the all-in plan is at RM307/month or RM334/month. All memory variants and colour options are available, so do visit Digi's pre-order page here to find out more.
Maxis - Zerolution now with 24 or 36 months
Similar to Digi, Maxis continues the trademarked Zerolution plan for the iPhone 13 series. With an instalment option of 24 or 36 months, there is a 0% interest rate as well as Maxis SafeDevice against theft and damages free for three months. Actually, this is the first time that we are seeing a 24 or 36 months option.
If you were choosing the iPhone 13 Pro Max (1TB), the difference between 24 or 36 months is almost a RM100 difference. With Maxis Postpaid 128, you would have to pay a total of RM403/month or RM307/month respectively. Another minor difference is that Maxis Postpaid Share 48 is only available on the Zerolution 24 months at the price of RM364/month.
Alternatively, you could just go for the normal contract. On Maxis Postpaid 188, you would only need to pay RM188/month and the device upfront payment is RM5554*. Comparing with the original price at RM7599 (1TB model), that's somewhat slightly affordable. To find out more, you can visit Maxis' pre-order page right here.
U Mobile - Get a free Apple USB-C charger or win an Apple Airtag
Finally, U Mobile isn't going to miss the party too. In fact, the first 450 customers who pre-order the iPhone 13 series will bring home a free Apple USB-C Charger (worth RM99)! On top of that, 100 lucky customers stand a chance to win a free Apple Airtag (worth RM129). There is no upfront payment (with terms and conditions apply) and the company will deliver the newest iPhone 13 series at your doorstep for free.
The orange telco's pre-order plans are quite straightforward. You can opt for either the Unlimited HERO or Upackage plan as usual. For the iPhone 13 Pro Max (128GB), the starting prices for these two plans are from RM3809 with Unlimited HERO or from RM179/month with Upackage. Well, you get the idea. To learn more, you can visit U Mobile's pre-order page over here.
That's all, folks. We heard that the iPhone 13 series pre-order volume is as strong as last year (some are sold out already in either one of the telco's pages). There are other local stores having their own pre-order sales too so do check them out while you're at it. Stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
