Concept render of foldable iPhone is basically clamshell iPhone 12 Pro

Many Apple fans are content to look forward to a new iPhone every year. But surely some people wonder what a foldable iPhone could look like, right? The possibility of such a device was first confirmed through a patent last year, and now fans are starting to come up with possible designs.

A concept renderer came up with a fan concept design for the ostensibly named Apple iPhone Flip. Rather than a large foldable like the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3, Apple's foldable iPhone uses the clamshell design of the Galaxy Z Flip 3. In our opinion, the concept render has the device looking like a version of the iPhone 12 Pro with a flippable body.

The designer also speculated on the tech specs and features for the device. He claimed that the iPhone Flip will come with the Apple M1 chip, instead of something newer like the upcoming Apple A15 Bionic. Allegedly, the device will also 120Hz ProMotion XDR Display, an under-display Touch ID, and a wireless charging tech called AirCharge.

Of course, the renders or details mentioned above are all speculations, so take them with a grain of salt. Having said that, would a clamshell iPhone be something you'd want? Let us know in the comments, and stay tuned to TechNave for future updates on this.
