Although Coolpad has yet to make their first public appearance in Malaysia, we just got news that they have dropped one of their first devices in the USA. Called the Coolpad Defiant, it’s marketed as an entry level phone and this is what we know about the tech-specs.
Sporting just a 5-inch display, the phone is just running on 1.4GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor, the selfie camera is just a mere 2MP, while the main camera is 5MP. As for the memory capacity, it’s also quite small as it comes in 1GB RAM and 8GB of internal storage. Despite all these small numbers, it has Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box, 2450 mAh battery and supports LTE connectivity.
With this kind of tech-specs, it could easily cost around RM700 more or less. And with the reelase date on 16 June 2017, maybe it's hinting a commercial public appearance in Malaysia soon? We are just speculating that, of course. Until then, stay tuned for more Coolpad news at TechNave.com.
