Many people who have a smartphone has heard of Corning. The company manufacturers the Gorilla Glass series that's used to protect the displays on our phones. But brands are now using glass to protect other components like the camera lenses.

In fact, Corning has just announced Gorilla Glass DX and DX+, which are designed for mobile camera lenses. They're not only meant to provide smartphone camera lenses with durable glass that's scratch resistance but will also improve optical performance. This is achieved with an anti-reflection coating that will boost light capture.

The company claims that its Gorilla Glass DX and DX+ will allow camera lenses to capture 98% of light, despite having the anti-reflection coating. In comparison, normal glass only allows 95% of light to pass through. Samsung is the first company that will adopt the new glass, so we can probably expect one of its upcoming devices to be equipped with it.

We don't have any clue as to which device it would be yet. But Samsung is launching the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3 next month, so it could be one of them. What do you think? Share your thoughts in the comments, and stay tuned to TechNave for more updates about this.
