We may be seeing Harman Kardon speakers being fitted into Samsung smartphones pretty soon – buw how about something different? Harman Kardon and Microsoft is set to collaborate in creating a new device to go against Amazon Alexa and Google Home. This new device will come built in with Cortana, Microsoft’s digital assistant as well.

A teaser was posted by Harman themselves, telling the world that “The new voice activate speaker by Harman Kardon, with Cortana – your personal digital assistant. Coming in 2017”. If that is not a confirmation we do not know what is. This is definitely designed to go against the other big personal digital assistant that is currently in the market – Google’s Asistant with Google Home, and Amazon’s Alexa with the Echo and Dot.

What will this new personal speaker setup be? We know it will be premium, as Harman Kardon is a premium brand – so the entry price may not be as approchable as the others. However we may also be seeing a more global release as the brand is more well known around the world. CES 2017 is just around the corner, so we should wait and see what the brand will release then. Stay tuned to TechNave for more news.
