A local company in Malaysia by the name of Average Drone aims to revolutionize the delivery process, by utilizing drones to deliver food across Cyberjaya from the end of June 2019 onwards. As it is still just a trial, the results of this test run will further dictate whether this system will be deployed in other regions of Malaysia.

We expect high population areas such as the Klang Valley, to benefit from such a service because of the hectic traffic around town which is the leading cause of delays during food delivery.

That being said, the drones do come with several limitations such as the inability to deliver under heavy rain, maximum cargo of up to 800g, not to mention the drone has a limited range of up to 2km. Do you think food delivery services such as FoodPanda and GrabFood could benefit from these drones? Drop us a comment on our Facebook page, and stay tuned to TechNave.com for more news like this.
