Could there be a new Apple iPhone SE 2 at the WWDC 2018?

Believe it or not, there are still a few tech-gadget enthusiasts waiting for a spiritual successor of the Apple iPhone SE. We didn't get any sequel from Apple's annual WWDC event last year, though, but with the recent announcement of this year's WWDC 2018, rumours have resurfaced again of the iPhone SE 2. So what is the Internet saying?

Let's start with the design. Nowadays, smartphones are going full front screen with the top notches and getting rid of the home button. It's inevitable, we have to get on with the times, but not everyone is keen for a huge phablet, as there are still a number of users who still prefer small and compact devices. We won't be surprised if the iPhone SE 2 followed that path but maybe it's best that they don't so that they can continue the "nostalgic" look with the Ion-X glossy glass back. That being said, if it does then a wireless charging technology is quite possible.

For the tech-specs, Phonearena.com is betting that the Apple A10 Fusion chipset could be included since the previous one used an A9 chipset. Screen size could also be the same 4-inch LCD display (or slightly larger?) in 1136 x 640 resolution. Also, like all iPhones, high RAM power is not required so we should see at least 2GB of RAM. For storage, it might go either 32GB or 128GB. We don't expect the camera to be that premium either, so it will be featuring a 12MP primary camera and a 5MP FaceTime front camera.

So that's about it, Keep in mind that everything we wrote here is just purely speculation. Know anyone who still prefers a compact small phone like the iPhone SE? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned for more Apple news at TechNave.com.
