An image of a curious Xiaomi Redmi device packaging has just recently surfaced on Weibo in a trademark full-red box. If this leaked image is indeed legit, then we may be looking at the first clue on the next Redmi device, the Redmi 5 Plus.
According to Gizmochina, the Redmi Plus 5 suggests that it could be the higher-spec version of the Redmi 5 and will also most likely release a Redmi 5A budget version of the phone as well based on previous devices.
The Redmi 5A has also been allegedly spotted on TENAA so it could also suggest that the Redmi 5 might be showing its head very soon.
Xiaomi has been keeping their lips sealed on any sort of specifications of this device so not much is known except for a report that suggests the Redmi 5 will most likely feature a 5-inch display and will look like Redmi Note 5.
The Redmi 4X was launched with a pricing of 699 Yuan (RM450). Hence, the Redmi 5 Plus is speculated to cost around 899 Yuan (RM570) and the Redmi 5 may be priced around 799 Yuan (RM500). A real value for money indeed.
