In this short announcement, Grab has quietly put up a notice on a new update for topping up your GrabPay Wallet. Starting from 11 September 2024 onwards, Grab users will be charged a fee if they use their credit cards to top up.

The announcement was made within the Grab app's notifications page. According to the chart listed below, topping up with a credit card will have a 1% fee. However, if you're using a Maybank co-branded credit card, there will be no fee charges. This applies the same to using a debit card or transferring from your bank and using your GX account directly.

That's pretty much it. There's still some time before the due deadline comes next month so until then, you can still do some top-ups to your GrabPay Wallet with your credit card.
