While Malaysia is going into the trend of cashless lifestyle steadily, Touch 'n Go have announced that Negeri Sembilan has finally adopted the cashless transformation. Officiated by the Member of Parliament of Malaysia for Seremban, YB Tuan Anthony Loke Siew Fook, this initiative will enable multiple stalls and hawkers in key areas starting with Pasar Besar Seremban to use Touch 'n Go eWallet via QR code.

According to Ignatius Ong, CEO of TNG Digital Sdn Bhd, the company plans to start in Seremban first and soon, the entire Negeri Sembilan state to become a more connected and smarter city. This initiative, or also known as ‘Seremban Takeover’ campaign by the company, will soon eliminate the need for paper transactions or receipts, as well as enabling homegrown small merchants to stay relevant in the digital market landscape.

On top of that, Touch 'n Go also struck a new partnership with EzCab to use their eWallet as a convenient and safer method to get around the city. To encourage the citizens to use that more, the campaign allows EzCab users to enjoy a discount of up to RM4.00 for any two (2) rides within Seremban when they pay the fare via Touch ‘n Go eWallet. The campaign has officially started today and will end on 15 March 2020.

Speaking of encouraging citizens to use eWallet as much as possible, there will be an official 'e-Tunai Rakyat' initiative by Touch 'n Go eWallet and the Government where Malaysians can receive RM30 starting 15 January 2020 onwards. How? Stay tuned for that at TechNave.com!
