While casuals have moved on from flying drones, but some people eagerly wait for new releases. DJI has already teased an event on 15 April 2021, but an enthusiast couldn't wait and decided to show off what it is - the Mavic Air 2s.

The YouTube channel Offroad Drone has uploaded a new unboxing video of DJI's upcoming flying drone. You can see the official box and drone, plus the content creator also switched the drone on to prove that it's not fake. Anyway, the new model comes with a 1-inch 20MP CMOS sensor that can shoot videos in 5.4K (5472x3078) at 30fps or 4K at 60fps. As for the lens, it's a 22mm equivalent with a fixed f/2.8 aperture.

Inside the box, DJI not only included extra propeller blades but also lens filters for the camera. However, DJI has not released the app update for the new model yet, so we couldn't see a flight demo. As for pricing, the Mavic Air 2s with Fly More Combo is expected to retail for USD 1299 (~RM5370).

Flying drones like these have become popular as they allow for aerial photography. Moreover, DJI has a presence in Malaysia, so we can expect this to be launched here. Let us know if you have any plans to get it, and stay tuned to TechNave for more news like this.
