If you want a flying drone for recreational use, there's no need to get a big and expensive one. For example, the DJI Mini 2 launched late last year is relatively affordable and it's compact. But what if there's an upcoming model that's even more affordable?

According to Wccftech, multiple sources have leaked pictures of the retail box for the DJI Mini 2 SE. It comes with a 2.7K camera, a 30-minute battery, and can fly up to a distance of 4 kilometres. While the more recent DJI drones use Ocusync to transmit signals, the Mini 2 SE sticks to the traditional WiFi transmission. This means it's more susceptible to interference.

On the other hand, it's also partly why the new model is cheaper. Based on the leaks, the DJI Mini 2 SE will retail for USD 299 (~RM1230) in the US. Since DJI has a presence in Malaysia, we can expect this to be sold here at a similar price range.

With that said, is this something you'd be interested to buy? Let us know in the comments below! We'll also keep an eye out for an update from DJI Malaysia, so do stay tuned to TechNave.com.
