DJI Mini 3 Pro drone and controller to feature new design

Flying drones have been out for some years, becoming a niche product for enthusiasts and videographers. For DJI, there's the Mini series that has a more affordable price for regular enthusiasts. Now, sources have spotted the new Mini 3 Pro that's coming this year.

Thanks to a leak from @JasperEllens, we have our first glimpse of the DJI Mini 3 Pro and its controller. DJI redesigned both components this year and the controller's changes are especially noticeable. Compared to last year's DJI Mini 2, it's much larger and features what seems to be a huge display. The front part of the drone is now two pieces jutting out, with parts of the sides protecting the gimbal.

The image for the drone isn't the best quality, so it's hard to make out the details. But DJI fans are speculating that the new model is larger and heavier. Should the weight be over 250g, users might have to register it with their local government to have permission to fly it. Also, the larger controller could come with added components inside. If that's the case, it would reduce the need to pair the drone and controller to a smartphone.

Of course, we can only speculate now since there isn't enough info available, so take the news with a grain of salt. Anyway, what do you think about the large screen on the controller? Let us know in the comments, and stay tuned to TechNave for more news like this.
