Looking to get into streaming or recording videos outdoors? Well, DJI has something new you might want to check out. Sources have spotted the company's upcoming DJI Osmo Mobile 8 online, providing us with the gimbal's details.

Specs and features

We're not sure whether it's a 'leak' by DJI, but the DJI Osmo Mobile 8 was spotted (via GSMArena) on the DJI China website yesterday. What's new with this model is its 360° horizontal rotation. That's right, you can now capture smooth 360° panoramic photos and video on your smartphone. The improved flexibility should also make recording certain scenes easier.

Besides the rotation upgrade, the DJI Osmo Mobile comes with a built-in extension for variable-angled shots. It also provides improved tracking with ActiveTrack 7.0, integrated audio recording, and 3-axis gimbal stabilisation. More importantly, the new model offers up to 10 hours of battery life, allowing for extended outdoor shoots.

Price and availability

The listing of the Osmo Mobile 8 has since been taken down, so we're not sure when it will officially launch. However, we know that the basic kit would retail for 898 yuan (~RM 532) in China. This package features an OM Magnetic Phone Clamp 4, a multi-function tracking module, a charging cable, and more. Vloggers can also grab a blog kit, which costs 997 yuan (~RM 591).
