Earlier today, DJI unveiled its latest pocket camera for the global market. The DJI Osmo Pocket 4 is the successor of the highly popular Osmo Pocket 3, which sold over 10 million units within two years. And now, there is a new model that offers some interesting upgrades.
Similar looks, better hardware
At a glance, the DJI Osmo Pocket 4 looks similar to its predecessor. However, it's easy enough to spot the changes once you take a closer look. First, the Osmo Pocket 4 is grey in colour instead of black. It's also slightly taller and has a different texture design on the grip. These are more subtle changes to a design that's already considered good.

Of course, there are also more obvious changes. Unlike the Osmo Pocket 3, the Osmo Pocket 4 has a cover for the SD card slot, so it's more splash-proof. It also has magnetic contact pins on the back to connect certain accessories, such as a fill light, for better lighting. Lastly, there are two new buttons on the back. The one on the left is for zooming, while the one on the right is a shutter button by default, but can also be customised to other functions.
Hardware upgrade
The DJI Osmo Pocket 4 also offers some notable hardware upgrades. Like its predecessor, the Osmo Pocket 4 uses a 1-inch CMOS sensor. However, its 37MP sensor is a significant upgrade over the previous model's 9.4MP. It also has a 107GB built-in storage, which is something the Osmo Pocket 3 lacked.

Features
In terms of features, the Osmo Pocket 4 packs a three-axis stabiliser, up to 14 stops of dynamic range, and 10-bit D-log colour. It supports 4K/240fps video recording, 2x lossless zoom, and ActiveTrack 7.0 for tracking even at 4x zoom. On top of that, this pocket camera has gesture controls, fast charging (18 minutes from 0 to 80%), Wi-Fi live streaming, and many more.
Price and availability
The DJI Osmo Pocket 4 is now available in two packages. You can purchase the Standard Combo for RM1999 for the pocket camera and some basic accessories. Alternatively, DJI has an RM2599 Creator Combo packing additional accessories, including a fill light and microphone. You can visit the DJI website for more details.
