A name that everyone associates with drone videography has just launched something really special. The new DJI Mavic Pro is the company’s latest drone – and it is small enough that you can slip it into your backpack, or even clip it to your waist.

It shares basically the same capabilities as its larger cousin, the Phantom 4. It can fly at speeds up to 40MPH in 'sport' mode and can remain stable flying in winds up to 24MPH. The Mavic films in 4K/30p or 1080p at 96fps, and has a battery life of around 27 minutes of continuous flight time. The camera on board the drone is a 12MP camera unit on a three-axis gimbal that can focus as close as 48cm. The Mavic Pro offers DNG Raw shooting, and DJI claims that thanks to its gimbal design, it's possible to shoot 2-second-long exposures from the air. The camera also is capable to record up to 4K footage to the microSD slot onboard. A Tripod Mode is included that enables finer camera angle and position adjustments so you can frame your selfie just right.

The transmission limit of the Mavic Pro is 7KM, so you can go very far with the drone. DJI also announced the debut of a brand new product that will allow for in flight viewing experiences called DJI Goggles. In conjunction with the Mavic Pro, users can switch between first person view and third person view with a flick of a button, while using this goggle.

If you want to put your money for one of this sweet drone, the sticker price will surprise you. It is going to retail at USD 749 (~RM 3099) for the drone only, or USD999 (~RM 4134) with the remote control.
