Digital Nasional Berhad and Ericsson officially launched 5G-Advanced network technology through DNB's network infrastructure, enabling customers to enjoy 5G-A networks on their devices. The use of this technology also improves the user experience by offering low latency and faster data transfer rates. So, what should you know about it?
For your information, the DNB network is also equipped with Ericsson's artificial intelligence support to ensure the network always operates at high performance. 5G-Advanced is said to be able to accommodate users in stadiums without any problems, unlike existing 5G networks which often have problems accommodating many users simultaneously.
At the same time, the use of 5G-Advanced networks is also said to offer greater savings on battery consumption, ensuring devices last longer. In addition to consumers, this network upgrade and update is seen as targeting industrial use. Existing 5G network users will start seeing the 5G-A label on their devices if they are in a location with this 5G-Advanced network.
It was also shared that as of December 2024, Malaysia had recorded 18.2 million 5G service subscriptions, showing a usage rate of 53.4%. We have yet to confirm other details on this matter. Hopefully, everything will be resolved soon.
