DOSM Chief: Over 191k individuals have registered for PADU in Kelantan, one of the highest sign-up rates in Malaysia

The Department of Statistics Malaysia (DOSM) has revealed that a total of 2.69 million individuals have registered for the Central Database Hub (PADU) as of yesterday (6 February). Furthermore, DOSM also asserted that Kelantan recorded one of the highest sign-up rates in the country.

According to Bernama, DOSM Chief Statistician Datuk Seri Mohd Uzir Mahidin revealed that a total of 191,078 Kelantan residents have registered for PADU. That number is around 15 per cent of Kelantan residents.

Elsewhere, 4 other states have recorded the highest registrations, including Sarawak, Selangor, Johor and Perlis. 270,000 Johoreans have registered for PADU, while the other 3 aforementioned states have over 100,000 sign-ups. 

Besides that, Mohd Uzir said that he’s confident that over 3 million registrations under PADU will be reached soon. Towards that end, 911 Digital Economy Centre (PEDi) nationwide will help residents sign up for the database.
