As more online social platforms adapt dark mode, the next one in the list is WeChatAccording to sources, the WeChat team from China announced on Weibo that the beta test for Android users is already completed. As for Apple iOS users, the dark mode update is in the plans for the next update (whenever that is).

Speaking of Apple, it seems that there was a silly rumour about WeChat would be removed from the Apple App Store. This was because if WeChat doesn't introduce dark mode, but let's be honest, that's a pretty lame reason and Zhang Jun, the Head of Tencent Public Relations clarified that developers were asked to switch to the iOS 13 software developers kit. All developers have the option to integrate dark mode for their apps or not.

Prior to WeChat's upcoming dark mode update, the latest dark mode arrived on Google Play Store officially on Android 10 (check out how to set the theme to dark mode right here). We also got to have a first look at how the Facebook desktop mode looks like before its official release. Stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
