DeepSeek is now a hot name in the world of artificial intelligence (AI) with companies such as HUAWEI, HONOR, Microsoft and several automotive manufacturers already using the R1 model in their products and services. So, what should you know about it?

For your information, the Chinese-made platform has quickly gained popularity in the United States, even reaching the top spot on the App Store in a short time. Arm CEO Rene Haas has voiced concerns about the future of the service.

According to Haas, DeepSeek may be forced to cease operations in the US due to the foreign policy implications of its status as a Chinese company. He also emphasized that his prediction is based on recent developments regarding TikTok.

China-based social media platform TikTok, owned by ByteDance, is now facing the possibility of having its US operations cut or shut down entirely, although the ban is still pending. DeepSeek has no US operations and uses the open-source AI model DeepSeek R1 for its apps and web services.

Therefore, although access to this service may be limited, users can still download and operate the language model on their own devices. We have yet to confirm other details on the subject. Hopefully, everything will be resolved soon.
