Dell announces Latitude 5430 Rugged and Latitude 7330 Rugged Extreme for harsh conditions

Besides lifestyle laptops, Dell also makes machines that can cope with harsh conditions. The brand has announced a new lineup of Latitude Rugged laptops, perfect for those who need theirs to survive extreme temperatures, constant vibrations or high levels of dust and humidity. With the introduction of the Latitude 5430 Rugged and Latitude 7330 Rugged Extreme, the company hopes to satisfy those who work in environments that push the limitations of a traditional office laptop.

Dell Latitude 5430 Rugged

The Latitude 5430 Rugged is a 14-inch semi-rugged laptop. It's drop-tested from up to 3-feet and Ingress Protection (IP)-53 7 rated for a high degree of protection against dust, dirt and water ingress. For the weight, it's measured 1.97kg and can be customized with an optional professional discrete graphics card.

The other dubbed Latitude 7330 Rugged Extreme is a 13-inch fully-rugged laptop. Besides an optional 1400-nit direct-sunlight viewable and gloved multi-touch capable screen, it is drop tested from up to 6-feet and has an IP-65 9 rating for maximum protection against dust, dirt and water ingress. Therefore, it's well-suited for those who look for extreme protective measures on their laptops.

Not just durable, but both laptops are also 5G-capable with 11th Gen Intel Core processors, vPro optional. They also have an improved battery with a run-time of almost 25 hours, alongside dual hot-swappable batteries and Express Charge Boost for up to a 35% charge in 20 minutes. Last but not least, they are pre-installed with Windows latest update, Windows 11, as well.
