So as you can notice, vivo Malaysia has been hyping up the NEX phone as much as possible. We have already told you about the notch-less 6.59-inch Ultra FullView display, the adorable pop-up front camera, the third generation in-display fingerprint and a powerful performance score in AnTuTu. But do you know where does the sound come from? Hint - It's not just from the bottom.

With the notch removed, many would assume that the speaker will just come from the bottom but apparently that's not the case. Introducing the Screen SoundCasting Technology, it's actually the company and the smartphone industry's first feature in a commercial device. How did they transform the display into a call receiver to function like a speaker and an earpiece at the same time? Well, it has something to do with this thing called piezoelectric speaker, to simply put - it's a technology that converts the entire display into a speaker, it's the same concept as some TV manufacturers are using for modern televisions to produce sounds on the display without a speaker. Moreover, this technology consumes less power as compared to regular audio methods, as well as able to enhance sound quality with better bass and softer, smoother treble. But we shall see.

Until we get the vivo NEX in our hands, we will be able to explore more about this technology in the near future. Stay tuned for our official coverage next week at TechNave.com.
