When Animal Crossing: New Horizon was globally unveiled on 20 March 2020, it met with an overwhelming response with more than 1.88 million copies sold in only 3 days. Even if you were interested in getting a copy of the game, it might be tough due to the fact that we’re under Movement Control Order and you’re going to need to fork up some dough for a brand new Nintendo Switch if you don’t already have one.
With all that said, even if you don’t own a Nintendo Switch, we’ve found a way for you to play one of the Animal Crossing game simply by using your Android or iOS device. The game is called Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, and while it is only available on the Japanese region, we’ve managed to find a workaround so that you could play the aforementioned game.
iOS devices
For those who are on an iOS device, you need to create a new Gmail account and use that to create a new AppleID in Japan. Once you have followed all the steps necessary, log into the new AppleID you’ve created on your mobile phone.
Once you’ve logged in, tap on the right side option of the new window and then select "? ?" when choosing a payment method. After that, fill in the address with any address from Japan such as a hotel, as well as a Japanese phone number. After all that, all you need to do next is download the game via the iOS app store!
Android Devices
For Android devices, it’s actually a lot more straightforward because all you need to do is download the APK file from a third-party APK repository. Fret not, as we’ve tested the link ourselves and it did not attempt to install anything that’s harmful other than the game.
