In case you missed it, both Maxis and Celcom have upgraded their postpaid plans Internet data pool for free. It was only a matter of time for Digi's turn and they finally did (sort of) by introducing Digi Postpaid Start, so hold on to your seats because this is about to get a wee-bit complicated.
To start off, Digi Postpaid Start will allow Digi Postpaid 38 and 58 users to enjoy uncapped high-speed Internet connectivity, upgraded data quotas, and built-in savings with daily and loyalty data bonuses. How much upgraded data quota are they giving, though? Well, with the Internet Bonus 365, all Digi Postpaid Start customers will get a free monthly data of 7.5GB (250MB daily) and 15GB (500MB daily) for Digi Postpaid 38 and Digi Postpaid 58 respectively. Internet Bonus 365 is also applicable to the Digi Postpaid 80 plan.
By the way, the rest of the Digi Postpaid plans are not part of the Digi Postpaid Start. However, Digi Postpaid 80, 120, 160 and 190 customers can now enjoy total monthly base Internet quota at 40GB, 60GB, 80GB and 100GB respectively. Moreover, customers who sign up for Digi’s PhoneFreedom 365 device instalment programme will also receive 2x more data quota in addition to attractive device discounts with uncapped high-speed Internet connectivity. In other words, the longer you are on a Digi Postpaid Start plan, the more benefits you will get. You can refer to the table below as an example.

You may also notice the Digi Loyalty Bonus in the table above. What it does is that it works as a tenure-based reward where customers will receive additional monthly data quota every 6 months on top of their Postpaid data plan, it can only happen four times up to 2 years. Finally, Internet add-ons have become more affordable than before going as low as RM1 for 1GB which is purchasable via MyDigi app or UMB.
