For your information, MyIKD allows the government to continuously monitor the digital divide among the community by specifically measuring it. The results of the study will be used to help the government design more targeted interventions.
The digital divide in Malaysia began to receive widespread attention during the pandemic when rural students faced problems following online classes and lectures due to poor internet connections. There were cases of students having to sit on trees and hang their phones from poles just to get a more stable internet connection.
