After a long wait, it seems that Disney is finally making a move into the Malaysian market with Disney. It appears that several hours ago, the company set up a Facebook and Instagram page named Disneyplushotstarmy. For some reason, the Facebook page has been taken down except for the latter.

Prior to this, there was no official announcement by Disney about this. Malaysians who visited the official Disney+ Malaysia website here can only be informed via "Keep me updated" and no newsletter was distributed to our knowledge. It's also worth noting on the blue tick appearing beside the name on the two platforms, but we don't know why they took down the Facebook page. Perhaps it was a test drive?

In case if you're wondering about what Hotstar is, it's a video streaming platform in India which is owned by Walt Disney Company India. With this, Indonesia was the first SEA country to have Disney+ Hotstar last year followed by Singapore. For reference, the annual subscription for Hotstar in India is $14 (~RM56).

We will be keeping a close eye on Disney+ Hotstar's availability in Malaysia. Are you excited that you all can finally watch The Mandalorian and upcoming MCU TV shows? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
