Based on a statement by malaymail.com, it seems that Lembah Pantai MP Fahmi Fadzil wants Datuk Saifuddin Abdullah to further clarify on his recent statement on individuals requiring a license in order to produce or post any form of video content. This is due to the fact that the aforementioned statement was very vague and did not go into specifics on whether it applies to regular social media users who regularly post videos.

But that’s not all, it seems that the license also requires the filmmaker to be part of a private limited company with RM50000 in paid-up capital. With all that said, if the license was not properly clarified, this could affect not only regular social media users, but also the livelihood of content creators.
