Today, OPPO and Dolby Laboratories have announced that they will be working together and with this collaboration, Dolby's High-Efficiency Advanced Audio Coding (HE AAC), JPEG-HDR and other audio and video technologies can be used in OPPO devices in the near future.
In case you've been living under the rock, Dolby is one of the most recognized brands providing an excellent video and audio sound system. HE AAC is an international standard for audio encoding authorized for use by Dolby Laboratories to hundreds of companies around the world, while for JPEG-HDR, it's a static image encoding standard whilst also storing data in a highly dynamic range of more than 8 bits so users can sample the entire range during post-processing. I guess you can say that we will be expecting some very cool features on OPPO devices, as not many of them have the privilege of equipping Dolby Atmos sound system, or even JPEG-HDR. But this would probably increase the cost so we shall see.
In other news, 2018 also happens to be OPPO's 10th anniversary. They have already entered the Japanese market and soon the European market as well in the coming months. Stay tuned for more OPPO news at TechNave.com.
