Bandai Namco Entertainment and Google Cloud have announced the global launch of DRAGON BALL GEKISHIN SQUADRA, a new cross-platform 4-on-4 action game that will be available to play starting September 10, 2025.

One for the fans

For your information, the title is available for free on iOS, Android, PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4, making it the first Dragon Ball series original title for smartphones in seven years.

In this game, players will work together in teams to penetrate the opponent's fortress and seize the Dragon Ball as the key to victory.

From a technical perspective, the game is built on Google Cloud infrastructure. It uses Agones and Google Kubernetes Engine for global server management, Spanner for cross-platform data synchronisation, and Memorystore to ensure fast and stable matchmaking.

Additionally, monitoring systems via Cloud Monitoring, BigQuery and Looker also help with pre- and post-launch stability. With this approach, Bandai Namco aims for an “anywhere, with anyone” experience for the global community of Dragon Ball fans
