We have suffered nothing but teasers and speculations for weeks but it is now official, the OPPO R11 and OPPO R11 Plus has been officially revealed.
What’s cool about this new device is that it will be packing a Snapdragon 660 processor, which will officially make the R11-series the first devices to use this new chipset. Might not seem very significant but this high-to-mid range chipset is placed just below the Snapdragon 835 in terms of performance. What’s more, most upcoming Chinese flagships in the coming months will be using the exact same chip.
Design-wise, let’s be real, it’s almost identical to the Apple iPhone 7 with the dual-camera location and the curved edges. However, we must all remember that OPPO has been using this trend for a long while now, and there’s no point switching from this trend because it seems to be working. The metal build looks good, a stylish colour scheme of black, rose gold and gold and a nicely placed fingerprint scanner right in the bottom front gives this phone a truly pleasing aesthetic look.

Both devices will have the same specs except the larger R11 Plus will have a larger RAM, screen size and battery size.

The OPPO R11 is priced at ¥2999 (RM1900) whereas a special Heat Red variant of the R11 be going for ¥3199 (RM2000). The larger OPPO R11 Plus is available for ¥3699 (RM2320).
