The holy grail of portable gaming is to get PC-like performance for gaming on the go. While many have tried, many have failed as well. New startup now would like to try what other have failed before, and the idea is now close to fruition as they are kickstarting their idea of a Portable Gaming System (PGS).

The PGS has a similar form factor as the Xperia Play and PSP Go as it has a slider form factor, and borrows the design idea from the Nintendo 3DS with its dual screen. What makes the device different is that it runs both Windows 10 as well as Android 6.0. The PGS also differs as it comes with telescopic analogue control sticks for game control.

There will be two models – a Hardcore and a Lite model. The Hardcore featuresa 5.7-inch 1440p AMOLED display, while the Lite version features a 5.5-inch 720p IPS display. It will have an Intel Atom X7 quad core CPU clocked at 2.56 GHz, and backed with 8 GB of RAM, a 128 GB SSD and a 6120 mAh battery for the higher spec model, and for the Lite, replaced with 4GB of RAM, 64GB of Storage and a 4080mAh battery.

The promises is big – they say that you can play AAA titles Batman: Arkham City, Dark Souls 2, Mirror's Edge, Metal Gear: Revengeance and DmC: Devil May Cry on low settings in HD at between 25 to 30 FPS, and in Android mode, a full Android phone experience. We shall see if their promises hold water, as their Kickstarter is still running as of the published date.
