OPPO recently announced the OPPO Joy smartphone in Indonesia for entry-level users. Featuring a 4-inch display with an 800 x 480 pixel resolution the smartphone is priced around $138 (RM451) and comes in black and white. Tech specs for the OPPO Joy include the following:
- 1.3GHz dual-core Cortex-A7 processor
- Mali 400 graphics
- 512MB RAM
- 4GB storage + microSD
- 4-inch display (800 x 480 pixel resolution)
- 3MP rear camera (with LED Flash) + 0.3MP front camera
- Supports HSPA+, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, MicroUSB
- 124 x 63 x 9.9mm | 125g
- 1700 mAh battery
- Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean + Color OS
So far, the OPPO Joy is currently only available in Indonesia, but it's details are already available on the OPPO Malaysia site so we're expecting a local launch soon. However, we foresee it probably having to cut the price somewhat as there are many more competitors at lower price points with better tech specs already available or coming soon to Malaysia.
