While Huawei is preparing to launch their P10 series soon, Honor on the other hand is also busy with their own thing, with a plan to release a new device on 21 February 2017 in China. An official poster was seen in Weibo and the device called the Honor V9 is planned to be held in Beijing.

In case you’re wondering who the swimmer is on the poster, is none other than Chinese Olympic Swimmer champion Sun Yang and it seems that he’ll be the official brand ambassador for the V9. Although no official tech-specs were hinted, we can be rest assured that the V9 will continue the dual rear camera feature just like the V8, as for the rest of the specifications, TENAA reported that it will sport:

  • 2.4GHz octa-core Kirin 960 processor
  • 4GB / 6GB RAM
  • 64GB storage (expandable memory available)
  • 5.5-inch 2K display
  • 12MP + 12MP dual-lens camera / 8MP front camera
  • EMUI 5.0 based on Android 7.0 Nougat
  • 4000mAh battery

Other than that, it’s also rumoured to cost 3000 yuan (around RM1939). Stay tuned for more Honor news at Technave.com as we will be looking forward to the official debut.
