If you don't know DxOMark, they are a group that specializes in reviewing, testing and grading smartphone cameras. And if you're a smartphone enthusiast, you would probably have come across its name for giving scores on newly release smartphones but it seems that they are introducing a U.S.-only ranking.

If you visit the rankings page here, you can see the USA toggle button there which will remove all the China-brand smartphones. Sounds weird, doesn't it? Why would they add this feature? Well in their explanation, there are just a high number of smartphones all over the world and the same model may not be the same for every country.

For instance, we already know well that there is a Snapdragon and Exynos version of the Samsung Galaxy device so it's best to separate them to avoid confusion. The camera sensors may the identical, but it's the chipset that will produce the final outcome of the photo quality due to software integration and image processing algorithms. DxOMark also remarked that devices are counted as U.S-only as long as it's sold in three American telco companies - Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile.

Should you turn on the toggle, the list will only contain Apple iPhones, Google Pixels, OnePlus, Motorola, LG and the Samsung Galaxy Snapdragon version. Well, this will surely be a convenient way for everyone to have a better reference. But what do you think? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
