While Command and Conquer fans eagerly wait for the Remastered Collection on Steam with a few more hours (13 hours and counting at this time of posting), there is another surprise waiting in store for us over at Steam. When exploring, we noticed that Electronic Arts (EA) have finally made their way to the platform with games on a promo sale.

Diving deeper into this, they are indeed bringing over some of the games that aren't available in Steam previously. Popular games such as Dragon Age Inquisition, Plants vs Zombies series, Need for Speed series, Mirror's Edge Catalyst, Medal of Honor, Crysis series and many more are finally on Steam and this very exciting. For one, Dragon Age Inquisition is now available for RM79.50, whereas Mirror's Edge Catalyst is on a half-price discount for RM39.50. Good deals if you ask me!

The requirement to play EA games

However, we also noticed that there's some requirement for playing them. According to most of the game pages description, they require a 3rd-party DRM which is EA's Origin client software for installation. Not only that, but you will also need to sign in with an EA account as well. This probably applies to all the EA games listed on Steam (except the ones that are already available on Steam beforehand) and we think this is rather a hassle, as we have already read many complaints on not being able to run some games after installation.

We recommend that you read the reviews on the game's page before making a decision to purchase it, else you would have another bad day. Anyway, CnC Remastered Collection is coming upon us very soon! Have a fun weekend and stay tuned for more local gaming news at TechNave.com.
