Apple is notoriously known for not disclosing some tech specs whenever a new iPhone is presented. As usual, they didn't say anything about the iPhone 12 series RAM power but thanks to Geekbench, Xcode 12.1 beta release, and Tweeter user @hirakujira, it seems that the iPhone 12 series has RAM management of up to 6GB of RAM.
Starting with Geekbench, someone managed to get on hold of the iPhone 12 Pro and ran some tests. It can be seen on the spreadsheet that the memory size is 6GB of RAM. Other sources have also screenshot the Geekbench spreadsheet on the same iPhone model and iPhone 12, believing it to be 6GB and 4GB respectively. The score was up too showing 1590 points in single-core and 3120 points in multi-core testing, although we should take it with a grain of salt when the devices officially launch.
Info from Xcode 12.1:
— Hiraku (@hirakujira) October 13, 2020
iPhone 12 mini (iPhone 13,1) & iPhone 12 (iPhone 13,2) → 4GB RAM
iPhone 12 Pro (iPhone 13,3) & iPhone 12 Pro Max (iPhone 13,4) → 6GB RAM
As for the Xcode 12.1 beta release, it once again hinted that the iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 are using 4GB of RAM. For the pro variants, the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max have 6GB of RAM and this is consistent with Geekbench that we mentioned earlier on. Lastly, @hirakujira also tweeted the same thing as he was using Xcode 12.1.
In other words, it looks like the new iPhone 12 series RAM management has not changed from its predecessors. The only thing left now is the battery pack which won't be kept in the dark for long now. Until then, stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
