When it comes to TWS earphones, you'll notice that they tend to look more casual or elegant (depending on budget class). Of course, there are models targeted at mobile gamers. For instance, the Edifier Hecate series with its new Hecate GX05 model.
Recently, Edifier announced that the Hecate GX05 TWS gaming earbuds would be available in Malaysia. It has a unique sci-fi design, a triangular zinc alloy case that looks tough, and RGB lighting to emphasise its gamer aesthetic. The earbuds are relatively small but feature an ergonomic design that should be comfortable. They also feature 10mm dynamic drivers and RGB lighting.
As for the specs, the Hecate GX05 is a dual wireless TWS supporting 2.4GHz wireless and Bluetooth (version 5.3) modes. It also features 15ms ultra-low latency, ENC dual-microphone Noise Cancellation, LHDC 5.0 encoding, and Hi-Res Audio support. All these features should make it a good pair of TWS earbuds for gaming, movies and phone calls. On top of that, you get a total battery life of 16 hours (case+earbuds) and fast charging via the case.
The Hecate GX05 retails in Malaysia for RM509, so it's priced more like a mid-range model. But it promises solid performance and has that gamer design, which could make it a good option for mobile gamers. What do you think?
