Recently, Edifier released the Edifier W800BT Pro headphone. This device is the latest entry for the brand’s premium over-ear wireless headphones offering good sound quality, effective noise cancellation, and comfort. For RM329, does this headphone live up to the hype? This is our verdict.
Design-wise, the W800BT Pro has a modern, sleek design with large ear cups and a cushioned headband. The ear cushions are made of soft leather, providing comfort for long listening sessions, though it might be a bit heavy for some users. Its foldable design also makes it portable and convenient to carry.

Big fan of the modern yet sleek design

The golden Edifier logo engraving makes it look sexy

The volume, power and Bluetooth buttons are located under the right ear cup
Personally, we love the sleek yet stylish design. The black colour gives this headphone a premium feel and that’s a big plus in our book. If you are into simple and modern aesthetics, this headphone should be high up on your wishlist.
According to Edifier, the sound profile is tuned with an emphasis on clarity and depth, delivering balanced lows, mids, and highs. Based on our experience, the bass feels punchy without being too overpowering. That makes it a versatile device for all music genres. This headphone also support aptX and Bluetooth 5.1 for stable connectivity and improved audio quality. This is great for audiophiles who appreciate the detailed sound.

The ear cups look comfy

Big head? The stretchable arm should cover you

Looks can be deceiving, this headphone isn't heavy at all
In addition, the W800BT Pro features ANC (Active Noise Cancellation), which effectively blocks ambient noise. So, it should be great for noisy environments like public transport or busy offices. Based on our experience, the ANC unfortunately isn’t at the level of high-end brands like Sony or Bose. However, it is still impressive for the price point because it reduces most background hums and chatter. If you are looking for a headphone with similar if not better peformance, you might want to read our review on the SteelSeries Arctis Nova 5.
With the ANC off, the W800BT Pro can last up to 55 hours, and around 35 hours with ANC on. It supports fast charging, providing a few hours of playtime with just a short charge. This is handy for users on the go. If you value a headphone's battery life, this device should be a priority on your wishlist.

This headphone feels easy on the neck too

Super comfy for long hours
Moreover, the touch controls on the ear cups let you play/pause music, adjust the volume, and answer calls. The headphones also feature a transparency mode, allowing users to hear their surroundings without removing the headset, which is helpful for quick interactions.
Plus, the W800BT Pro’s built-in microphone is decent for calls and voice commands. Bear in mind, it can still pick up background noise in very loud environments. That said, it works well enough for general calls and meetings.

The device is easy to connect
As expected, this device comes with a support app called ConneX. Personally, we love the UI. It is simple, easy to understand and manage. It also offers several customisation options for the ANC, sound effects and sound modes. Plus, if you fiddle with the sound effects, you might be pleased because it provides presets like Classic, Dynamic, and even more options with “Customized”
Meanwhile, the ANC features a few alternatives like High, Medium, Wind Reduction, Ambient Sound and Off. Besides that, the Sound modes consist of Music, Game and Spatial Sound. To maximise your user experience, we would suggest High for ANC, Dynamic for Sound effects and Music for Sound modes.
