Eligible Malaysian devices only have 4 more days to upgrade to Microsoft Windows 10 for free

Microsoft Malaysia recently highlighted that their offer for a free upgrade to Windows 10 will end on 29 July 2016. According to their statistics, 1 in 2 eligible devices (using Windows 7 or Windows 8.1) here in Malaysia have yet to make the move, leaving only 4 days left to make the move for free.

In addition, the upcoming Windows 10 Anniversary Update will roll out on 2 August including such features like:

  1. More security features: improvements to Windows Hello and Windows Defender + Windows Defender Advanced Threat Protection (WDATP) and Windows Information Protection for enterprise users.
  2. Windows Ink: enables people to write on a device as they would on paper integrated with Office and other applications such as Microsoft Edge and Maps.
  3. Improvements to Cortana: access to above the lock screen, more ways to remember with the ability for Cortana to save and recall information, and synchronization across devices.
  4. Increased power efficiency, extensions and accessibility with Microsoft Edge
  5. A better gaming experience: With Xbox Play Anywhere, gamers can buy a game once and play on a Windows 10 PC or Xbox One with shared progress, shared game saves and share achievements.
  6. Education: faster, simpler set up with all new tools to help educators get up and running quickly.
