The world’s richest person as well as the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, Elon Musk is now also the largest shareholder of the popular social media platform Twitter. Musk, who himself is a prolific Twitter user, now owns 9.2 percent of the company after purchasing a whopping ~RM12.1 billion in stock.

CNBC broke the news yesterday after spotting a US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filing on the purchase. With the news of Musk’s Twitter stocks purchase, share prices of the social media company actually went up to more than 27 percent.

Now, it seems that Musk may look into his status as largest Twitter shareholder to shake things up in the company. In his most recent tweet, the world’s richest person posted a poll asking users whether they want an edit button or not.

In a rather genius tongue-in-cheek move, Musk actually misspelled ‘yes’ and ‘no’ on the poll options, putting ‘yse’ and ‘on’ instead. Pretty fitting for a poll asking on an edit button if you’d ask me!

Speaking of which, an edit button is something that Twitter users have been asking since the social media platform’s inception. While Musk’s tweet may seem to be just a joke, the context became different when you see one of the quote tweets of the poll.

You see, Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal actually retweeted Musk’s poll and wrote, “The consequences of this poll will be important. Please vote carefully,”. Hmm, sounds pretty serious, though it could also be an inside joke between the two.

As of the time of writing, over 1.8 million has voted on the poll with 74.3 percent respondents want an edit button. Like any other Twitter polls, voting ends within 24 hours it is posted.
