In his quest to find the “maximum truth-seeking AI”, Elon Musk launched xAI. This is Elon’s version of ChatGPT, which he intends to replace ChatGPT as the primary platform for generative artificial intelligence.
In April, Elon merged Twitter with a shell company, X Corp. As a result, The CEO of Tesla and Twitter launched a dedicated website for xAI today. The website states:
"The goal of xAI is to understand the true nature of the universe."
In an exclusive interview with Tucker Carlson in April 2023, Elon claimed that he was working on a generative artificial model. This model is intended to understand the nature of the universe, so it would be unlikely to “annihilate humans”.
To create xAI, Elon purchased 10000 GPUs from NVIDIA to train a Large Language Model (LLM) on the pattern of OpenAI’s ChatGPT. Elon has also recruited employees from DeepMind, OpenAI, Google Research, Microsoft Research, Tesla and the University of Toronto to make it happen.

As of now, it remains interesting to see how this technology could be beneficial in Malaysia. Perhaps, the bright minds in our country will be able to take advantage of it.
