According to The Information, the site reported that Elon Musk offered Apple its Starlink satellite internet service, but it was rejected. So, what should you know about it?

For your information, Elon Musk offered Apple 18 months of Starlink internet access if Apple paid $5 billion. After that period, Apple would have to pay $1 billion per year. Musk gave Apple 72 hours to accept Starlink's offer or else they would launch a satellite internet service directly to smartphones. After the offer was rejected, Starlink launched the service for T-Mobile US customers. They then went their way with a Direct to Cell offering in 2023.

Additionally, Apple is also said to have discussed with Boeing to launch its satellite internet network, not only for smartphones but also for home use. Reportedly, Apple did not pursue this effort because it did not want its internet service to negatively affect its relationship with telecommunications companies.
