Recently, Elon Musk criticised Wikipedia on his own X platform. Then, he announced the launch of a new AI-driven encyclopedia called Grokipedia.
An encyclopedia to understand the universe
According to him, the project, developed by xAI, is not only intended to be more accurate and neutral than Wikipedia, but also to align with his grand vision of "understanding the universe." Simply put, the encyclopedia is just a side project; the ultimate goal is the universe.
We are building Grokipedia @xAI.

Will be a massive improvement over Wikipedia.
Frankly, it is a necessary step towards the xAI goal of understanding the Universe. https://t.co/xvSeWkpALy
He also plans to open source Grokipedia, but has not yet given specific details, such as when it will be launched, what technology will be used, or, most importantly, how to ensure that the AI itself does not lead the pace.
This isn't the first time Musk has targeted Wikipedia. A few weeks ago, he said his Grok chatbot could "rewrite Wikipedia" by deleting inaccuracies and then correcting them with synthetic data. Now, Grokipedia seems like an evolution of that idea, only instead of "complaining," he's taking it personally.
